Costco Gives Special Priority Access to Healthcare Professionals and First Responders

Costco has announced a new “priority access” policy for healthcare workers and first responders which allows them to skip to the front of the line to enter Costco.

Under this latest policy, health care workers and first responders will be required to present their Costco membership cards and any identification of their job status. The workers are also welcome to shop at any time, even those specifically designated for elderly or impaired customers (which, as of April 9, is between 8 to 9 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays).

Friends and family members are not allowed to accompany those with priority access unless they qualify as healthcare professionals or first responders.

Hours of Operation: Costco locations have temporarily implemented new weekday closing hours.

  • U.S. Costco warehouses will close at 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • U.S. Costco gas stations will open at 6 a.m. daily, and close at 7 p.m. on weekdays and 6:30 p.m. on weekends.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all of you on the front lines each day as physicians, healthcare providers and first responders. You are the heroes of 2020, and there are insufficient words to express our appreciation.

To all of our neighbors and friends please stay healthy and safe.
